This voicebank gives the vocal a rough "growl" undertone. This vocal is the default vocal that Marie Ork will switch to automatically when registered into the software. When she sings high pitch becomes easier to hear. A side effect is that her growl disappears and is replaced with a eerie, hoarse whisper vocal. She is ideal for horror, sci-fiction and fantasy sound effects and music. Results above soprano are impossible to understand and are recommended for led-in vocals. Through the range, however, her vocal is very scary sounding and haunting.
Another trait is that her voice can become very distorted and has a heavy metallic sound on extreme settings. In addition whereas Bones or Daisy's long notes maintain a human quality, her long notes are unsettling and unnatural. She is ideal for vocal-sound experimentation and ideal for music and film.
Some of her presets are also set up purposely to pick up on certain generated pre-set sounds the user may find interesting. D Smolken noted in his developer notes that this vocal is aimed at being an unpitched noisy growl, useful for metal and monster voices.
SPACE vocal explained:
This voicebank lacks the "growl" under tone, but is otherwise identical to the "Growl" vocal. It produces a slight difference due to the lack of a growl.
D Smolken's developer notes note that this vocal was aimed at being capable of producing a distinct pitch and useful for making those weird swirling pads, as well as other cosmic noises
Language as noted:
This voicebank was recorded for the English language.
There are two voicebanks that are suitable for rock and metal.
Both voicebanks have different presets. If the user switches out "Growl" for "Space", then "Space" will maintain the presets settings. This will not work for any other vocal if switched out as the settings reset themselves.
Presets for each voicebank include:
Growl back ups
Software issues as noted:
Death Metal vocalists themselves don't focus on their pronunciation perfections, lessening the need to produce perfectly clear vocalist results in addition. There is a lack of clarity within this vocal for this reason.
The 'growl' is identical otherwise to the 'space', but will appear more hoarse overall.
There is a lack of a vocal range and her vocal will easily distort.
